Award Winning Care

Our Bragging Rights are Your Bragging Rights

At Baylor, we’re proud of the national and local recognitions we receive. It means our efforts toward health care excellence are not going unnoticed.

But it’s not about us. It’s about you and the confidence you find in turning to an award-winning health system for your family’s health care needs.

Looking Forward

Laurels are great, but we’re not resting on them. Internally we use the term “clinical transformation” to describe the effort we’re making to improve how we care for you. What that means to you is:

  • Caregivers who have more time to spend with you
  • Diagnosis and treatment that is evidence-based and technologically innovative
  • Care that prioritizes what matters to you: quality, safety and compassion

    Clinical Care

For 14 consecutive years, Baylor Dallas has been recognized among the nation’s top 50 hospitals in several medical specialties in U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Hospitals” guide. Additionally, Baylor Institute for Rehabilitation is ranked among the nation’s top rehabilitation facilities. For the 11th consecutive year, Baylor Dallas has been named a Consumer Choice Award winner by National Research Corporation (NRC), an independent health performance measurement and improvement company. The NRC ranked Baylor as best for the Dallas, Plano and Irving metropolitan areas in six important categories, including the best quality, the best doctors, the best nurses and the best reputation.

    Quality

Quality, safe compassionate care is the priority at Baylor – clinical excellence requires a reexamination of all that Baylor does – it demands a “clinical transformation.” That is why Baylor has made it a top priority to improve quality and safety in patient care. Baylor is investing $149 million in its “clinical transformation” initiative and views it as a long-term, multifaceted approach that is improving how care is delivered. It provides caregivers the opportunity to spend more time with patients. And through the use of evidence-based practices and innovative technologies, “clinical transformation” is helping Baylor advance the consistent delivery of safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and patient-centered care.

    Best Place to Work

The Dallas Business Journal ranked Baylor as one of the Top 70 Best Places to Work for 2007. Rankings are based in large part on employee surveys that determined the satisfaction of employees.
